Society, what exactly is society? Is it the Chaar Log or the Kuch Log who always has a say in every petty matter, every family matter to be specific. Google describes Society as the people in a country or area, thought of as a group, who have shared customs and laws, which in laymen terms is simply people with whom you share same interests or people in your neighbourhood.

It is a rather important term when you talk of India, why because majority of the decisions here are governed keeping this six-letter word in mind. Personally speaking, it is rather necessary to think of the repercussions one has to face amongst its people before doing anything, as the famous English author Bo Benett said – think before you act and act on what you believe. Nevertheless, what you do is going to have some bad effects and some good effects. What matters most is which affects us for the longest duration or which has the deepest impact on our life.

One thing should always be kept in mind. Think about the society, but when it starts impacting your thought process so much that you act only with society’s point of view, then you need to have a rethinking. It is true that when in trouble, the very first person to come to your help will be your immediate neighbours and the society, but it is also not wrong that the first one to mock you when you’re in a grave situation, will be, sorry to say, will be those members of society. Those understanding your crisis will be only a few, those judging you and passing on remarks will be the one surrounding you, and those aren’t necessarily strangers, sometimes they belong to your family too. So, be alert with your actions and if you’re intentions are pure, don’t mind the society, but if you even have a slightest mischief in mind, beware of the society.
